Abstract

DEFINITION ▪ A group of diseases caused by inflammation of blood vessel walls CLASSIFICATION ▪ An arbitrary classification is by the size of the vessel or ves-sels involved (Table 1). ▪ The predominantly pediatric vasculitic syndromes of Kawasaki disease and Henoch-Schönlein purpura are not considered in this chapter.
