In his article, Dr. Katzka writes that with the use of new therapies for GERD, many people overlook the traditional treatments for GERD, namely lifetime changes which include meal size and content, obesity, smoking, alchohol consumption and exercise. Not only are these changes beneficial for GERD but are useful in treating other diseases and maintaining body health.
