Abstract

This case discusses a pharmacokinetic interaction between phenytoin and vecuronium. Vecuronium is a substrate of the cytochrome P450 system and is metabolized in the liver. Phenytoin is an inducer of many subenyzmes of the cytochrome P450 system.
