Abstract

Renal prostaglandin E was measured by radioimmunoassay after separation by silicic acid column chromatography and conversion to prostaglandin B in rabbits and rats. A significant increase in the concentration of renal prostaglandin E was found during acute renal failure induced by glycerol or mercuric chloride.
