Abstract
The technique of mathematical projection, termed reprojection, has been developed for the display of three-dimensional reconstructions of anatomic structures scanned with the Single Source Dynamic Spatial Reconstruction system. When coupled with the techniques of noninvasive numerical ″dissection″ and selective tissue ″dissolution″ , reprojection images allow the observer to view anatomic structure while minimizing the obscuring effect of superposed anatomy. Multiple reprojection images from desired angles of view can be generated and viewed singly as stereo-pairs to achieve three-dimensional display or as a rapid sequence of equiangular-spaced images producing the effect of the object rotating before the observer.
