Massive acute pulmonary embolism: Chest radiographic clues

Chest radiography is usually nonspecifically abnormal in patients with acute pulmonary embolism. Occasionally, certain findings may specifically suggest the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism. Familiarity with these findings will facilitate early and accurate diagnosis.
