Abstract
Low grade gliomas (LGG) are slow-growing brain tumors that typically affect young adults. While treatable with surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, LGG are not curable and carry a poorer prognosis than is generally recognized. We review the diagnosis, natural history, and treatment of LGG, with an emphasis on evidence-based management options as well as areas of ongoing research.
