Abstract
Osteochondral lesions of the knee are a common cause of pain and disability among both skeletally mature and immature patients. Successful management requires a timely diagnosis, accurate lesion characterization, and proper treatment selection by non-operative management along with a variety of surgical procedures (internal fixation, osteochondral autograft transfer, osteochondral allograft transplant). This current concepts review will summarize the best available evidence in the literature and address the authors' preference in the treatment of osteochondral lesions of the knee.
