Abstract

The authors regret that in the methods section it was incorrectly stated that 1100 patients were utilized for analysis, of which 927 came from the Mayo Clinic Study of Aging (MCSA). More accurately, the MCSA data subset consisted of 927 samples obtained from 422 individual patients drawn at different timepoints. Repeat patient samples utilized for reference interval analysis were all drawn more than 0.8 year apart with mean difference between timepoints of 1.5 years, and thus are deemed suitable by the authors for inclusion leaving the prior reference interval determination unchanged. While the originally given overall demographics were for all 1100 patient specimens utilized in this study (588 [53%] male, 512 [47%] female), the overall individual patient demographics are 315 [53%] male, 280 [47%] female). The authors would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused.
