Abstract
Delusions of parasitosis is an uncommon disease that often presents in patients with significant cognitive abnormalities, including dementia. Patients exhibit an unrealistic sensation of infestation with parasites, which can significantly worsen their quality of life. The authors present the case of an 85-year-old patient with debilitating delusions of parasitosis.
