Abstract
Cancer-associated weight loss occurs in the majority of patients with an advanced, incurable malignancy. Understanding the multidimensional aspects of this syndrome, knowing how best to approach and potentially supply palliative care for cancer patients with this syndrome, and grasping some aspects of pathophysiology are crucial to providing high-quality cancer care. This chapter seeks to meet these goals.
