It has been shown that magnetic resonance image data can be corrected for the effects of motion by using retrospective adaptive techniques which employ navigator (NAV) echoes. We demonstrate the accuracy with which NAV echoes can measure motion, as well as the independent nature of the respective view‐to‐view and intraview corrections. © 1991 Academic Press. Inc.
