Abstract
Dementia in individuals less than 65 years, traditionally referred to as young-onset dementia, encompasses a considerably wider differential than in older individuals with dementia and includes familial and sporadic disorders. Given the devastating impact young-onset dementia has on an individual and family, a thorough investigation is warranted. Determining the precise etiology can be quite the diagnostic feat, however, it can be accomplished using a methodical approach.
