Abstract
Tympanic membrane perforations have diverse causes and range in scope from simple and self-limited to complex and destructive. Some situations call for urgent referral, while others require only conservative care. Drs Ott and Lundy discuss how to evaluate and treat this common condition to minimize the risk of hearing loss and other complications.
