Abstract
Background: Genome stability is maintained in part by chromatin structure and checkpoint factors. Results: Yeast cells harboring mutations in the Ddc1-Mec3-Rad17 checkpoint complex exhibit synthetic phenotypes with histone chaperone mutants. Conclusion: The Ddc1-Mec3-Rad17 complex regulates nucleosome assembly. Significance: Checkpoint factors and histone chaperones coordinate to maintain genome integrity.
