Abstract
Although nutritional support in the form of prescribed enteral or parenteral nutrition provides limited benefit to patients with advanced, incurable cancer, severely malnourished cancer patients who are being considered for curative surgery or highly effective cancer treatment can gain modest benefits. This chapter reviews some of the data that support the above statement and underscores the need for a multidisciplinary approach in such decision-making.
