Abstract
ALTHOUGH several murine T-cell lymphomas have been well characterised(reviewed in ref. 1), only a single group of murine B-cell lymphomas, the Abelsonlymphom as, has been described2. The Abelson lymphoma arose in asteroid-treated BALB/cCr mouse inoculated with Moloney leukaemia virus2, expresses surface immunoglobulin3-4 and can be transmitted by aninfectious murine leukaemia virus2. We report here a new IgM-bearing B-cell lymphoma distinct from the Abelson lymphoma in its induction, pathogenesis andantigenic characteristics and which has many features in common with the widely studied guinea pig L2C lymphoma5-6.
