title = "Measuring binding interactions of neurite-extension promoting antibodies to supported lipid membranes using a multichannel microfluidic plasmonic nanohole array biosensor",
abstract = "We present a plasmonic nanohole array biosensor capable of measuring spectral changes due to molecular binding interactions across multiple channels with an imaging spectrometer [1-3]. Lipid bilayers doped with gangliosides were formed on the sensor surface and an antibody, rHIgM12, was injected over these membranes and binding was observed. This antibody has previously been shown to promote neurite-extension in neurons [4-6] and thus may have therapeutic benefits. The hypothesized receptors are gangliosides, GD1a and GT1b. Specificity to these gangliosides was observed, and the dissociation constant KD to GT1b was calculated to be 12.9 ?} 7.2 nM.",
