Abstract

Loss of weight and appetite are common in patients with advanced cancer, and yet palliative options for treating this sign and symptom remain limited. This article reviews the integrative approaches that have proven most effective to date for this sign and symptom and also discusses some of the challenges of proving efficacy of palliative therapy.
