N2 - Sodium iodide symporter (NIS)-expressing oncolytic viruses enable tumor-specific imaging and radiotherapy for infected tumors. We designed a novel NIS-expressing adenoviral vector with deletion of the adenovirus death protein (ADP) gene. ADP deletion improved NIS expression and subsequent imaging capabilities highlighting the role of vector design in effective transgene expression.
