Abstract
Adjuvant therapy for colon cancer has had a significant impact on the survival of patients following curative resection. Patients most likely to benefit are those with Dukes' C colon cancer. Currently, the combination of 5-fluorouracil and levamisole is standard adjuvant therapy for this group of patients. This article reviews the development of adjuvant therapy for colon cancer, the current approaches to treatment, and describes adjuvant chemotherapy studies that are currently underway.
